He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Edwards and Margaret Hoover; and his siblings, Theodore Edwards and Diane Playforth. He is survived by: his brother Harry "Huck" Edwards; and his nieces, Georgia Sue Wilson (Mark), Beverly Suess (Mike), Peggy Playforth and Becky Snyder (Brian).
