He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Stanchin and Kay Stanchin; his daughter Carrie Fox; and his brother Emery J. Stanchin. He is survived by: his son John W. Stanchin (Mary Lou) of Boardman; his grandchildren, DJ Fox (Ashley), Kacie Fox, John W. Stanchin Jr. (Julianna) and Brian Stanchin (Harley); his great grandchild Ricky; his sister-in-law Sue Stanchin of Louisville; and his wife Judith Askin Stanchin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kinnick Funeral Home (477 N Meridian Rd, Youngstown, OH 44509). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, John's family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mahoning District, P.O. Box 224, Youngstown, OH 44501.
