He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Trella and Mary Elko Trella; and his siblings, Michael Trella, Paul "Pie" Trella, Margaret Bush, Andrew Trella and Anne Leson.
He is survived by: his sons, John "Jack" Trella (Kathy) of Youngstown and Michael Trella (Maggie) of Youngstown; his grandchildren, Jacob Trella, Kara Harmon (Kody) and Christian Trella; and his wife Angeline Sassano Trella.
In lieu of flowers, John's family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Down Syndrome Association of the Valley.
