It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Gerdes (Youngstown, Ohio), who passed away on April 24, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Briceland and Marie Ida Zimmerman Briceland; her brother Patrick Briceland; her sister-in-law Cindy Gerdes; her sister Maria Perello; and her brother-in-law Blaine Gerdes.
She is survived by: her husband Robert S. Gerdes; her children, Lisa Gerdes (Anthony Mileto) of Struthers, Robert S. Gerdes (Kristine) of Xenia and Jennifer Gerdes of Struthers; her grandchildren, Brooke Scott (Jacob Banko), Jacqueline Scott, Elaina Gerdes, Robert Gerdes and Aiden Gerdes; her siblings, Bernadette Melchione of California and Michael Briceland of Florida; and her siblings-in-law, Hayden Gerdes, Mary Grace Briceland and Michael Perello. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
