She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Barlak and Margaret Barlak (Ribarchak); her son Craig Gibbons; and her grandson Joseph Jacob Gibbons. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer E. Gibbons of Youngstown, OH, Margery A. Trella (Michael) of Youngstown, OH and Jamie-Lynn Halas (Shawn) of Coconut Creek, FL; her grandchildren, Samantha Gibbons (Derek Hurford) of Struthers, OH, Craig Gibbons of Fredericksburg, VA, Brandon Halas of Coconut Creek, FL, Jordan Halas of Coconut Creek, FL and Jacob Trella of Youngstown, OH; her great grandchildren, Jayden Gibbons, Ian Hurford, McKenzie Hurford and Benjamin Hurford of Struthers, OH; and her sisters, Donna Fogle of Pittsburgh, PA and Jo Lynn Liberatore (Angelo) of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that material tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society-Joseph and Jeannette Silber Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44106-2364 in memory of Kathy.
