He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Belle Gregory (Dumas) and Melvin D. Gregory Sr.; and his sister Marietta Dumas. He is survived by: his wife Sharine Gregory (Akins); his children, Jonathan Gregory, Delaunte Colvin and Mercedes Trevathan (Tony) of Melvin Gregory, III.; his niece Dalvon James (Dumas); and his siblings, Rene Neal (Katrina) and Charles Butler. He is also survived by his godchildren, 6 grandsons and 6 granddaughters, family, friends.
