As Peter departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Peter. Though Peter may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his sons, Steven Getch (Laura) of Cuyahoga Falls and Richard Getch (Jolene) of Rochester, PA; his grandchildren, Finley, Abigail and Griffin Getch; and his siblings, Valerian "Skip" Getch (Lynne) of Delray Beach, FL, Thomas Getch (Trish) of San Diego, CA, Richard Getch (Carol) of Carmel, IN and Cynthia Getch of Delta, CO.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel (4303 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44515). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (4490 Norquest Blvd, Austintown, OH 44515).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Akron Children's NICU at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, 8401 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.
