With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Renee S. Godfrey of Youngstown, Ohio, who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Renee may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her brother Percy L. Godfrey Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Moniche Godfrey, Corrine Godfrey and Effieantta "Effie" Jenkins; her siblings, Annette McKintosh and Antonio Godfrey; her grandchild TaDajasia Green; and her close friend Kimberly Martinez. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Jaylex Event Center (2110 Glenwood Ave, Youngstown, OH 44511). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
