He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Merrick and Ruth Roberts Merrick; and his siblings, Jody Merrick and Debra Cottril. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ilene Major; his children, David Scott Merrick of Hubbard and Nancy Elizabeth Buckich (Joseph) of Masury; his brother Forrest Merrick (Terri Lynn) of Greenfield, PA; and his grandchildren, Gabriel James Merrick and Christian Joseph Buckich.
