The passing of Ronald M. Preksta (Youngstown, Ohio) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 81. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Preksta and Anastasia "Sadie" Wolsonovich Preksta; and his sister Dolores Shorokey-Brunetti. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Gergel of Youngstown and John Preksta (Mich) of Dearborn; and his nieces and nephews, Greg Gergel, Doug Gergel, Patricia Gergel, Debbie Aloia, Joe Shorokey, Laurie Stare and Christine Shorokey. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kinnick Funeral Home (477 N Meridian Rd, Youngstown, OH 44509). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (526 W Rayen Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502).
In lieu of flowers, Ron's family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Children's Hospital.
