Thomas Francis Shugart III Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on February 20, 2026, at the age of 86, Thomas Francis Shugart III (Youngstown, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy Shugart; his daughter Kathy Thompson; his siblings, Jerry Shugart and Nancy Shugart; and his grandson Robert Sangster.
He is survived by: his children, Victoria Shugart, Ingrid Shugart, Ursula Fabian (Ed), Shannon Perren (Todd), Melissa Sangster (Robert), Thomas F. Shugart IV, Tiffany Westbay (Phil), Candy Shugart and Rocky Kennedy; and his granddaughter Ava. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring his legacy by supporting the Western Reserve Baseball and Softball Organization, helping provide opportunities for young athletes to grow in discipline, teamwork, and character, the values he held dear.
