William Hird Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2025, at the age of 64, William Hird of Youngstown, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Hird Sr. and Helen M. Hird (Kearney); his wife Carol Ann; his siblings, Edward "Kook" Hird, Howard "Howie" Hird, Donald "Donny" Hird and Virginia "Sis" Hird; and his sister-in-law Susan Hird.
He is survived by: his siblings' children, Leon Hird (Hillary Kane) of Struthers and Cierra Hornyak (Mason) of Struthers; and his brothers, John "Jack" Hird of Poland Township and Robert "Bob" G. Hird Jr. (Marilee) of Poland. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home (11 Spring St, Struthers, OH 44471).
