We announce the death of Barbara Bryslan of Zanesville, Ohio, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 82. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Barbara will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Barbara will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Barbara’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gabriel Banyai and Mary Banyai (Ralph); her husband Raymond Eugene Bryslan; and her sister Patricia Yurich. She is survived by: her children, Charles Bryslan (Louise), Lisa Hayes (Darrell) and Melissa Hostutler (Greg). She is also survived by several grandchildren; and several great grandchildren; many other friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home (56 S 5th St, Zanesville, OH 43701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
