We are sad to announce that, on March 28, 2024, at the age of 79, Bertha Gortner of Zanesville, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Stotts and Zelma Stotts (Longshore); her former husband Robert D. Fleming; her husband Wayne E. Gortner; her son Michael T. Fleming; her siblings, Essie Marie Davis (Kenneth), Harmon Dale Stotts, Corrina Faye Holman, John Paul Stotts, Gladys Elaine Peterson and Zelma Josephine Barner (Charlie); her sister-in-law Nancy Stotts; and her close friend Judy Hearn.
She is survived by: her son Matt Fleming (Tennille); her grandchildren, Trent Fleming and Kyleigh Fleming; her siblings, Nora May Davis, Wayne Ellsworth Stotts and Daniel Prouty Stotts Sr. (Jook); and her special kitties, Tuxie and Butterball. She is also survived by many sibling-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made in Joy's honor to Christ's Table, where she loved to spend her free time, at 28 South 6th Street, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
