He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Kirkendall; and his father-in-law Ronald Schmitz. He is survived by: his wife Lori Schmitz Kirkendall; his children, Arika Denman (James) and Kelly Wohlgamuth (Andrew); his grandchildren, Kenzie, Riley and Rhett; his brothers, Joseph Kirkendall II (Rosemary), Richard Kirkendall and Daniel Kirkendall (Katrina); his mother-in-law Norma Schmitz; and his siblings-in-law, Greg Schmitz (Mary Jo) and Kristine Dibble. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
