He was predeceased by: his father Jesse W. Smith-Yarger; his brother Clifford Smith; his siblings-in-law, Janie Hines, Max, Rex, Larry (Buck) and Tom Hines; and his parents-in-law, Lee and Jane Hines.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Smith (Hines); his daughters, Christine Hampp (Don) and Sherri Smith; his granddaughters, Rachel (Josh), Donna (Wesley), Treva and Keylee; and his siblings-in-law, Jack Hines (Nina), Bonnie M. Smith, Louanna Hines and Connie Hines. He is also survived by one great granddaughter arriving soon; a brother and a sister; numerous nephews and nieces.
