He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Sims and Ouida Sims (Hoffman); and his in-laws, Robert and Carilyn Hopper. He is survived by: his wife Susie Sims; his children, Chelsie Simpson (Ricco), Joshua Sims (Christy) and Cara Archer (Travis); his granddaughter Katie Stewart; his brothers, Michael Sims (Susan) and Chad Sims; his grandchildren, Aleigh, Brynnen, Bryndel, Mayson and Madyson; and his siblings' children, Lindsay, Mollie, Michelle, Elizabeth, Casey, Dylan, Colton, Dalton and Kyann.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the William Thompson & Son Funeral Home (5765 Gladstone Dr, White Cottage, OH 43791). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter.
