He was predeceased by: his parents, Max E. Bauer and Eula; his wife Mary Bauer (Riffle); his sister Kathryn Dennis; his brother-in-law Ted Brown (Donald Dennis); and his nephew Donny Dennis.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Michele Hunter; his siblings, Eddie "Max" Bauer, William Bauer (Tina), Kimberly Lagrange (Donald), Sherry Brown, Katrina Donelson (Frank) and Cindy Bugglin (Jeff); and his stepchildren, Christopher Hunter, Gerald Ault, Mary Ault and Rachelle Hunter. He is also survived by several grandchildren; special dog, Bear; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
