He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl C. Nelson and Julia M. Pierce Nelson; and his granddaughter Shalin Rose King. He is survived by: his wife Sherilyn Kay Fry Nelson; his children, Carl W. Nelson, Aaron S. Nelson and Uylonda Nelson; his grandchildren, Jeffrey Smith and Angel King Moore (Justin); and his great grandchildren, Centric Bookless, Kipley Moore and Shalin Rose Moore. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, in-laws, cousins and friends.
