He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew McConnaughey and Clarabel McConnaughey (Stephens); and his siblings, David McConnaughey and Katheryn Beach. He is survived by: his wife Jane C. McConnaughey (Gervais); his children, Shawn Magill (Todd), Keri Sanders (Adam) and Randy McConnaughey (Sally); his grandchildren, Abigail (Noah), Chloe, Lela, Sarah, Caitlyn, Caleb, Logan and Lilly; his great grandchild Atlas; his sister Erin Lamar; his sister-in-law Linda McConnaughey; and his nieces, Jennifer, Jeanette, Leah and Lydia.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Muskingum County Conference and Welcome Center (205 N 5th St, Zanesville, OH 43701). Visitation will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home (40 MacArthur Blvd, Bourne, MA 02532). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
