He was predeceased by: his parents, George McNerney and Glenna McNerney; and his mother-in-law Esther Jewell. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Y. McNerney; his children, Holly Cruz (Sandro), Jason McNerney, Michael Ray Colborn (Abby), Chad Colborn (Michelle), Jeremy McNerney (Misty), John Fleece, Jessica Messer (Rob) and Ashley Harris (Michael); his siblings, Genette Spragg (Mickey), Gina Milstead (Howdy), Gloria Vandenbark (Michael) and George McNerney (Anna); and his pets, Odie, Rubble, JoJo, Carmela, Puss Puss, Sassyann and Ebb. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and bonus grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Burrell Funeral Services (414 La Salle St, Zanesville, OH 43701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
