He is survived by : his children, James Heath Dodson (Kelli Wasmund) and Sarah Savage (Ralph); his grandchildren, Austin C. Nichols, Arissa M. Savage and Jesse C. Savage; and his wife Marjorie Eversole.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Zanesville Moose Lodge 867 (3500 W Pike, Zanesville, OH 43701).
