He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Fitzpatrick and Mary Jane Fitzpatrick (Young); his brothers, Larry Joe and David Fitzpatrick; and his pets, Garcia, Blackie and Daisy.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Fitzpatrick (Lynch); and his children, Amy McLain, Larry Fitzpatrick (Jennifer) and Dylan Fitzpatrick (Ellen). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
