He was predeceased by: his father Edward Newman; his brothers, James "Cuddie" Newman and Brian Voorhies; his grandmother Marguerite Miller; and the mother of his child Sherri Morgan.
He is survived by: his daughter Jaska Newman; his siblings, David Voorhies, Bridget Miller and Debbie Clark (Les); and his nieces and nephews, Katurah Norris, Krista Miller, Ashley Clark and Jerome Newman. He is also survived by several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
