He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Bechstein and Dessie Bechstein (Tremain); and his sister Karen Ritchey. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Bechstein (Brugh); his daughter Abby Bechstein; his grandchildren, Eli and Emily Wade; his siblings, Robert B. Sayler, Linda Black and Mary Ann Stover; and his sister-in-law Melody Thomas (Scott).
