John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gordon Ray and Regina Smith Ray; his siblings, Judy Galbreath and Doug Ray; and his stepsons, Paul Monteith and Steve Monteith.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Barclay Ray; his children, Greg Ray (Lorraine), Keith Ray (Aleatha) and Teresa Ray (Eric Holsky); his grandchildren, Steven Ray and Natalie Holsky; and his great grandchild Emmitt.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Primrose Assisted Living (4212 Northpointe Dr, Zanesville, OH 43701).
