We announce the death of Margene L. Ryan of Zanesville, Ohio, who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 98. Margene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. McKeown and Ada A. McKeown (Cherry); her husband Don Ryan; and her daughter Molly Ryan. She is survived by: her children, Kristine Pease, Kathleen Payton (Tony), Theresa Baughman (John), Timothy Ryan (Cathy), Holly Schwindt (Gerd), Mark Ryan (Debbie) and Cynthia Courtain (Royal); her son-in-law Robert Beach; her sisters, Holly and Patricia Beach; her son Michael; and her daughter-in-law Charmaine Ryan. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home (935 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701-2822). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church (925 E Main St, Zanesville, OH 43701).
