He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and June Eileen Cover; his sister Constance "Connie" Cover Smith Harriman; his grandparents, Lillian Grandstaff, Alonzo Brown, Ruth and Charles Cover; and his grandson Drake Charles Cover.
He is survived by: his spouse Delma Cover (Rossiter); his children, Darrick Cover (Melissa) of Zanesville, Scott Cover (Christine) of Zanesville, Wendy Cover Daniels (Joshua) of Morrow, Kelly Cover-Tam (Ryan) of Seattle and Josie Cover (Chris Hodge) of Zanesville; his grandchildren, Amanda, Sophie, Samuel, Anastasia, Aurora and Seraphina; his sibling's children, Ashley Sutton (AJ), David Smith Jr. and Dustin Smith; and his great-nephews, Alan and Alex. He is also survived by other friends and family.
