He was predeceased by: his father William S. Barry (Bill); his grandparents, Lawrence, Catherine Jacobs, William and Mildred Barry; and his niece Emma Barry.

He is survived by: his mother Janet Jacobs Barry; his wife Joan "Joanie" Nash; his sons, John (Mary) of New Lexington, Joshua (Jessica) of Plain City and Justin (Megan) of Charleston, SC.; his grandchildren, Conlin, Sawyer and Iris; and his siblings, Teresa Kinkead (John) of Naples, FL, Ann Kane (Phillip) of Akron, Thomas Barry and Robert Barry of Zanesville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Bishop Rosecrans General Scholarship Fund or to the Glioblastoma Foundation.
