He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Donna Jean Gourley. He is survived by: his wife Nicole Grether; his children, Bentley C. Grether and Jenna M. Bice; his parents, Paul J. Grether (Marcia) and Barbara Bradshaw Doyle; his grandparents, Charles and Linda Bradshaw; his siblings, Joseph T. Grether, Matthew J. Grether and Thea J. Grether; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Wagner (Cindy) and Michele Finkes. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
