She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Grace LaSalle Cullins and Edward Maxwell Cullins; her mother Hazel Graves; her former husbands, Richard Goff and Bob Smith; her adoptive parents, Grace LaSalle Cullins and Edward Maxwell Cullins; her siblings, Hazel Cullins, Elsie Cullins Bishop, John Cullins, Arthur Cullins, Edna Cullins, Hester, Ester Cullins and Pattie Graves Metcalf; her niece Amy Cody Grimes; her nephews, Lance Cody and James Bishop; and her friend Lila Devault.
She is survived by: her brother Maxwell Graves (Judith Cody); and her close friend Barbara Llloyd. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home (1271 Blue Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter in Ruth Smith's name.
