She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold E. Phelps and LaVena Phelps (Kruse); and her siblings, Harold Phelps Jr., Larry Allen Phelps, Lisa K. Phelps and Karen Simpson (Terry).

She is survived by: her husband Steven E. Vajda; her children, Dana Edgell (Bruce) and David Bly (Ann); her sister Diana Martin; her grandchildren, Rebecca Bly, Robert Bly, Jacob Edgell (Jessica), Dustin Edgell, Talon Edgell and Bradyn Edgell; her great grandchildren, Ryatt, Bonnie and Zander Edgell; and her pet Mogie.
