He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Eppley and Jean Eppley (Schneider); his brother Dale Eppley; his uncle Charles "Sonny" Schneider; his aunts, Virginia Schneider and Ruth Merkle; and his extended family James Frederick.

He is survived by: his siblings, Charles Daniel Eppley and Carol Miller (Rick); his niece Tracie Stewart; his nephews, Billy Eppley and Chad Eppley Doner; his cousins, Joyce Frederick, Jane Dovenbarger and Larry Dovenbarger; and his aunt Vivian Eppley.
