She was predeceased by: her former husband Donald Ballard; her son Lerory Ballard; her parents, Hanai Shiraishi and Nobuo; and her parents-in-law, Blanch Cherry and Glenn.

She is survived by: her husband Clyde Cherry; her children, Don Ballard Patty (Kathy Ballard), Kathleen Vanhoose (Terry Vanhoose) and Gale Clark (Jeff Clark); her grandchildren, Donald Ballard Jr., Jerra Sayles, Jody Bradley, Jamie Werkman, Lee Ann Ballard and Erin Clark; and her pet Peppie. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
