He was predeceased by: his parents, Lanta Murphy and LuLu Murphy (Tomblin); his parents-in-law, Frederick (Pete) and Erminia Monticelli; his sister Dixie Krupka (Gene); and his brothers-in-law, Steve Long, Glenn Yost and Eugene Monticelli.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalind Monticelli; his children, Robert Murphy (Laura) of New Philadelphia, Lisa Long (Thomas) of Mineral City and Lori Murphy of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Nathan Long, Zachary Murphy (Morgan), Madison Murphy (Kaleb Stokey), Marissa Neilson (Drake), Gracie Murphy and Isabella Murphy; his sisters, Bonnie Yost and Roxie Long; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Briggs (Jerry) and Lou Monticelli (Karen). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (613 N Tuscarawas Ave, Dover, OH 44622). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery.
