She was predeceased by : her parents, James Clinton Hargrove and Lucinda Chambers Hargrove; her husband Jack Campbell Howard; her daughter Cindy Howard Ross; and her siblings, Benjamin Hargrove, Nita Mae Sherrel, Christine Crowdus, Inez Beatty and Emma Lee Lander.

She is survived by : her children, Gina "Darlene" Howard-Post (Michael) of Meadview, AZ and James Vernon Howard; her grandchildren, Gena Post, Heather Post, James Howard Jr., Michael Howard and Cyndi Smith (Jesse Smith); her great grandchildren, Lariat James Smith and Michael "Mikie" Tourtellott; and her sister Marida Davis of Hico, TX.
