It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Ellis of Ada, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Affason Brown and Myrtle Brown (Nelson); and her son Jamie Duane Ellis. She is survived by: her children, John Clifton Ellis, II (Carmen) of Ada, Jeremy Steve Ellis of Tupelo and Johnna Rozanne Walker (Darrell) of Ada; and her grandchildren, Nacobi Nucosee (Blake), Alexis Bacon (Garrett), Dylan Walker, Christian Ellis, Trent Ellis (Alissa), Lauryn Watkins, John William Ellis, Jaxon Ellis, Hailey Ellis, Jayson Ellis, Jarrett Ellis and Jayden Ellis. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Criswell Funeral Home (815 E Arlington St, Ada, OK 74820). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Chickasaw Community Center (700 N Mississippi Ave, Ada, OK 74820).
