It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Wendall Payne of Ada, Oklahoma, born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 6, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee Payne and Winnie V. Payne Brewer (Lynch); and his sister June Sanford. He is survived by: his son Andy Payne (Ruth); his grandchildren, Britton Hill and Payton Brewer; his children, Kelly Ann Payne Brewer and John Wendall "Hoot" Payne Jr.; and his siblings, Gerald Lee Payne and Dorothy Grounds Hensley. He is also survived by his great grandchildren.
