He was predeceased by: his parents, John Woodlief Sweatt, Sr. and Mary Ellen VanMeter Sweat; and his sister Mary Nell Vermillion. He is survived by: his wife Martha Bullard; his children, John Woodlief Sweatt III (Cindy) and Kelsey Vandeveer (Lan); his grandchildren, Kaycie Young (Tanner), Kaylie Coleman (Bradley), Matthew Sweatt (Ellen) and Ashley Kilgore (Jonathan); and his great grandchildren, Margot, Millie Sweatt, Edyn and Willow Young.
