He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnie Woodrow and Jessie Eurmal McCracken Sanders; his wife Evelyn Sanders; his children, Debbie Sanders Finn and Ricky Sanders; and his siblings, Jim Sanders and Geneva Jamar.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Sanders of Stratford, Lori Sanders Crabb of Bakersfield, CA and Tammy Sanders Bliss of Newcastle, OK; and his siblings, Robert Sanders of Oklahoma City, OK, Edward Sanders of Arp, Texas, Joyce Pittman of Ada, Erma Turner of Ada and Wilma Sanders of Ada. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
