He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Brumley and Mabel Fails Brumley; his wife Sue Brumley; his siblings, Pauline Cox, Margaret Nelson and Buddy Brumley; and his daughter Gwen Cranford.

He is survived by: his children, Kent Barton (Lisa) of Chandler, Wayne Lee (Melissa) of Byng, Chuck Barton (Scarlett) of Fitzhugh, Stephen "Boog" Barton (Amy) of Tulsa, Tammy Hall (Mike) of Byng and Teresa Tucker of Stratford; and his grandchildren, Tara Tucker, Makella Potts (Dewayne), Taylor Manuel (Steven), Britney Solmi (David), Brady Barton (Lana), Claira Brown (Dillin), Jackson Barton and Lily Barton. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the 33rd Street Church of Christ.
