With sadness, we share the passing of Sheila Matthews (Ada, Oklahoma). Sheila, born on May 4, 1952, passed away on October 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Matthews; her parents, Kattie Yount Prentice and Buddy Yount; and her stepfather Benny Prentice. She is survived by: her children, Sheryl (Jack Goodson) and Kanan (Tasha Matthews); her grandchildren, Chad Goodson (Keisha), Cole Goodson (Amber), Bodrey Goodson (Jaelee Korzan), Lilly Matthews, Gus Matthews, Jake Matthews and Karson Standridge; her great grandchildren, Brogen Goodson (Ryleigh), Khloe Goodson and Eden Goodson; her sisters, Debbie (Kenny Cundiff) and Paula (Larry Colbert); her stepsiblings, Jerri Starns (Frank) and Mark Prentice; and her nephews, Chad Goodson, Cole Goodson, Bodrey Goodson, Jake Matthews, Gus Matthews, Jax Watkins, John Cundiff, Adam Colbert, Justin Colbert, Chad Colbert, Jason Watkins, Brent Phillips and Karson Standridge. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Criswell Funeral Home (815 Arlington St, Ada, OK 74820). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Allen High School (110 N Richmond St, Allen, OK 74825).
