He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Cathey; his wife Clara Faye Cathey; his daughter Rhonda Cathey-Wood; and his siblings, Doug, Ovie, Paul, Glen, Dearl Cathey, Jewel Smith and Maxine Jurgensen.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Rhonda Wynona, Randall Thad and Shai Lynn; his son Randy; his daughters-in-law, Ladonna Cathey and Candy Cathey; his grandchildren, Jessica Wood, Makenzee Ingle, Deeandra Watts, Chris, Kim Cathey, Thad (Tina Cathey), Randall (Cassie Cathey) and Austin Cathey; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Karrisa, Taylor, Katelyn, Peyton, Thad, Randall, Cori, Cash, Sadie, Macarius, Skyla, Stella, Arya, Christon, Kingston, Princeton, Sheicona, Kaden and Darias; and his great great grandchildren, Adelyn Kate, Jaxon DeBois, Thad Dean, Brysen and Leighton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.
