We announce the death of Mary Ellen Long of Adair, Oklahoma, born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, who passed away on October 18, 2026, at the age of 92. Mary Ellen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Jess Stephens; her husband Bruce Long; her daughter Pamela Long; and her brothers, Melvin Waldron, Lavern Stephens and Norman Stephens.
She is survived by: her mother Mabel Stephens; her child Shirley Kindle (Edward) of Westville, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Johnnie Long of Westville, Oklahoma, Bobby Long (Pamela) of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Carl Long (Denae) of Westville, Oklahoma, Charles Long (Dana) of Westville, Oklahoma, Randall Long (Patricia) of Bunch, Oklahoma., John Long (Mindy), Renae Blossom (Kevin), Kindra Drummond (Phillip), Jason Long (Jessamy), Jesse Long, Aaron Kindle (Rebekah) and Ashley Fink (Sydney); and her sister Carolyn Igo. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Roberts & Hart Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (82526 S 4765 Rd, Stilwell, OK 74960).
