We bid farewell to Joy Nickell of Albert, Oklahoma, born in Atoka, Oklahoma, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 25, 2025 at the age of 90. Joy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Johnson and Opal Johnson; her husband Fred Nickell; her sons, Ronnie Nickell and Gerald Nickell; and her siblings, Marland Johnson and Deloris Lovelady.
She is survived by: her son Brian Nickell; her grandchildren, Brandy Roberts, Cash Nickell, Jerry Nickell Jr., Charity Nickell, Shane Nickell, Derrick Nickell, Rachel Jones and Tika Nickell; and her sister Margie Bunge. She is also survived by many great-grand children, great great-grandchildren, nieces, extended family.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Chapel. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Allen Cemetery (200 S Easton St, Allen, OK 74825).
