We announce the death of Debra Gay Laney of Altus, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 71. Debra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clonus Alfred "C. A." Farmer and Jacqueline Farmer; her sisters, Donna Easly and Tina Briscoe; her nieces, Tara Danette Farmer, Haley Newberry and Shan Easly; her great-nephew Rusty Spence; and her great-niece Kylea Benivamondez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Amber Thomas (Jacob) and Taylor Laney (Dustin); her grandchildren, Mason Laney-Hines and Avery Kate Adams; her sister Janice Wilson; her niece Brandi Kinney; her nephews, Chad Spence and Lanny Spence; and her brother-in-law Lee Easly. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
