With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Darlene Benson in Alva, Oklahoma, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dick Tull, Jr. and Billie Louise Tull (Whiteford); her daughter Sheree; her sisters, Dixie Marcum and Judi Simmons; and her son-in-law Steve Lyons.

She is survived by : her children, Gerald Benson (Renetta) of Alva, Amy Rude (Jeff) of Bartlesville and David Benson of Englewood, Colorado; her sisters, Linda Rogers of Nashville, Jacque Bates of Nashville and Glenna Hailey (Bill) of Edmond; her grandchildren, Melissa Zerbe (Jon) of Oklahoma City, Josh Benson (Casey) of Edmond, Willie Benson (Celeste) of Alva, Michael Rude of Bartlesville, Tyler Rude of Bartlesville, Cody of Parker, Colorado and Kyle Benson of Parker, Colorado; and her great grandchildren, Dylan, Shelbee, Carter Glenn, Nolan, Wyatt, Tynley Benson and Henry Benson. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alva First United Methodist Church or Alva Community Theatre, Inc.
