He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thomas and Lois Ellen Self (Rice); his daughter Brooke Steele; and his brother Ralph Self. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Self-Hill of Alva and Joshua Self (Janelle) of Alamosa, Colorado; his siblings, Fred Self (Marilyn) of Newalla and Priscilla Ice (Bill) of Watonga; his grandchildren, Karsyn McKnight (Kennedy) of Alva, Baxter Cox (Anesia) of Kansas, Kahlor Johnson of Kansas, Talyx Steele (Brieanna) of Sanford, Taelynn Steele of Oklahoma City and Tymberlyn Self of North Carolina; and his great grandchildren, Waylon, Colter McKnight, Jayvien, Emberlynn Huntley, Ezra, Essiah Robinson, Carbon, Zayleigh Steele, Hope and Ulrich. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
