He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Lyon and Gertrude Lyon (Cox); his siblings, Ronnie Lyon, Larry Lyon, Benny Lyon and Karen Bay; and his brothers-in-law, Harlan Bay and Robert Whitney.

He is survived by: his wife Felicia Lyon of Alva; his children, Kay Logsdon (Jerry) of Alva, Danny Lyon (Karen) of Yukon and Lea Ann Byford of Edmond; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Logsdon (Katie) of Alva, Megan McCoy (Ryan) of Collinsville, Lauren Stovall (Zach), Blake Byford of Oklahoma City, Colton Byford (Peyton), Brock Byford (Tia) and Addisyn Duke of Edmond. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
