Susan B. Ferguson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2025, at the age of 78, Susan B. Ferguson of Alva, Oklahoma passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Susan B. Ferguson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Long (Bill) and Evelyn Hines Long; her grandson Cameron James Carey; and her sister-in-law Julie Ferguson. She is survived by: her friend Lizabeth Richey; her husband James Ferguson (Jim) of Alva; her daughter Jamie Ferguson Carey of Woodward; her granddaughters, Madison Carey of Stillwater and Hadley Carey of Woodward; her son Shaun Brown (Brenda) of Lewisville, Texas; her siblings, Sarah Balenti (Mike) of Enid Oklahoma and Sam Long (Barbara) of Alva; her brother-in-law Stanley Ferguson (Connie) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.; and her siblings' children, Dr. Halah Simon (Chad) of Alva, Brandon Long (Tina) of Alva, Chris Balenti (Janine) of Sterling, Colorado, Troy Balenti (Shannon) of Enid and Dr. James Ferguson M. D. (Monica) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Marshall Funeral Home of Alva (230 Flynn St, Alva, OK 73717).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
